As part of the Advocate Medical Campus-Southwest, Tinley Woods Surgery Center (TWSC) is owned and managed as a joint venture between Advocate SCA Partners LLC and surgeon investors. The facility began operating in December 2002, and became part of Surgical Care Affiliates in 2018.
The 13,800 square foot surgery center has four, large, modern operating rooms with state-of-the-science equipment and a minor procedure/endoscopy room. The facility has fully private pre-operative and recovery rooms. The surgical specialties represented by our medical staff of over 100 members include anesthesiology/pain management, otolaryngology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, podiatry, gastroenterology and urology. Anesthesia services are provided by anesthesiologists from Elite Anesthesia. working as independent contractors. TWSC has a transfer agreement with Advocate’s South Suburban Hospital and Christ Hospital and Medical Center to accommodate patients who require overnight observation.
Tinley Woods Surgery Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, accredited by The Joint Commission, and is a provider in the Medicare Program.
